Organization

I saw this idea on Pinterest and thought it was so cute. I had to order the prints from etsy. Here is a link to the ones that I used, but there are many more available http://www.etsy.com/listing/92810140/child-message-center-red-damask-16x20? I bought the frames at Old Time Pottery. The wooden blocks, hooks, and spray paint were purchased at Hobby Lobby. Since I don't have a Cricut, and don't think I would use it much if I did, I bought the letters at Michael's and stuck them to the outside of the frame since they have some dimension to them.

I purchased clips from Walmart and  hot glued them to the glass to hold important papers.

Time Out Glitter Bottles

Here is another project I saw on Pinterest that I thought was a cute idea. I made these about 3/4 full with warm water at night and they seemed to settle very fast and I was worried! I didn't want my kids taking 2 minute time outs! lol I shook them in the morning and they did slow down quite a bit. It takes them between 7-8 minutes to settle. I just used a few globs of the tacky glue in each bottle. I do plan on changing the lids because I don't want my kids thinking they can drink them, but these were the only smart water bottles available at the time.

The glitter, glitter glue and tacky glue were all purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Pinterest Projects

So I am totally addicted to Pinterest and I have seen a lot of awesome ideas on the site. It actually gives me inspiration to recreate some of the projects that I "think" I can do myself. One of the first I saw was a makeup board and someone was selling them on etsy for $30 for an 8x10. I couldn't find any sheet metal to buy, so I asked my Dad and he had some he cut to fit the frame. I got the frame and fabric from Hobby Lobby and the magnets and bin from Amazon.

Yummy's

I saw thesse on pinerest as a Valentine's Day treat, but thought they would be great at every holiday. If there were St. Patty's Day M&M's I would probably make those too. Well I guess I could buy a bag of just green M&M's? I'll post those on here too if I end up doing that!

It is super easy to make these. All you do is get small, flat pretzels (I get the rounds from Sam's Club), Wilton candy melts, and M&M's. Place the pretzels on an aluminum foil lined cookie sheet, and place the candy melts on the pretzels. Place in a preheated 350 degree oven for only a few minutes, or until the candy melts soften. Once you have them out, place an M&M on top and wait until the candy melt hardens. Enjoy!

Can't wait!

Ok, so we are usually the type of family who stays at home and doesn't really get out much. So I was checking my e-mail yesterday and found an offer from groupon. All in all I got 4 tickets to the Shedd Aquarium for $40! It is an evening admission, so we can't go in until 5pm, but we get to go to the "Jellies" exhibit and the aquatic show "A Holiday Fantasea!" Since I'm dragging my husband along, I think we will make a day of it (: A few things I have been wanting to do in Chicago is to go to Daley Plaza where they have Christkindlemarket. Also stop by Watertower Place to visit the American Girl Doll store and the Lego store. And maybe the Museum of Science and Industry where they have the Christmas trees from around the world exhibit!

I REALLY need to stop checking my e-mail though bc it seems every time I do, I end up buying something! Today I was checking it and Disney on Ice had set me an e-mail for a presale. I thought I would check it out and ended up getting tickets to a show February 20th at the United Center! It was SUCH a good deal, I couldn't refuse! Since I have attended a Disney on Ice performance before, they send me these presale e-mails every year for it. All I did was enter the code when I looked for seats, and all the close seats opened up! I ended up getting 3 tickets on the first row for $70. We'll be sitting in a corner section, so it's not as close as being on a side, but I thought that was pretty darn good! Last time we went I think we were 3 balconies up and we couldn't see a thing!

New Coat!!!

So, I ran across a website I have never been to before and the name of it is zulily. I saw this coat and HAD to have it. Of course I did my research and found that it was on amazon for over $100, so I think I'm getting a pretty good deal.

I didn't just buy for myself though. I also thought of my youngest son and bought him a little cute coat that *hopefully* he won't scream his head off while I'm trying to put it on him :)
